Dazzle Dance Center
Dazzle Dance Center
Our mission at Dazzle Dance Center is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes but a
unique experience in which students can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer. Our highly trained and
certified instructors have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines.
Here at Dazzle Dance Center, we have a passion for the art of dance and for helping others discover their inner
dancer. Are you ready to get up and move? Contact us today to learn more about our studio.
Dazzle Dance Center opened in 2013 in a building with only one dance room. DDC offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop,
danceline technique, clogging, and contemporary. Students start at 3 years old and grow every year in classes that are set up based
on skill level not age.
Ms. Lynda's main goal at Dazzle Dance Center is to create a safe positive environment for students. Technique is a priority but we
know that what you learn at dance is way more then just technique. We want to instill a great work ethic, self confidence, and so
much more. We push our students past their comfort zone so that they can see their full potential and recognize hard work pays off!
The first year the studio was opened the competition teams ROCKED the stage with very little prior experience and technique. This
first year students went from not being able to do double pirouettes to being able to do triples and multiple 8-counts of second turns.
At their very first nationals the team took home their first National Championship!
Since our humble beginnings the studio has moved to a location that has 2 dance rooms and have won a total of 14 National
Championships in 5 years. Also in 5 years we have moved many routines and dancers from beginner level at competition to
intermediate and this year we will have several advanced level dances.
Ms. Lynda, Ms. Mikie, and Ms. Joy work very hard to provide the best technique training to our students in a fun, family, and loving
environment. The growth they have witnessed is amazing and keeps the studio moving forward.
Lynda has been dancing since the age of 3 and competing since kindergarten. Most of her training came from Karen Ogden Dance Studio in Sulphur,
Louisiana. At Mrs. Karen’s she was on competitive teams and won at the regional and national levels. She continued dancing in college on the Demon
Dazzler Danceline at Northwestern State University. As a Dazzler, she attended camp in Louisville, KY and were awarded a bid to Nationals in Disney
World. This was the first and only team to have received a national bid! She graduated from undergrad in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts
from the Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern and from LSUS with a Masters of Science in Nonprofit Administration in 2015.
Lynda has taught dance for 10 plus years. She teaches ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, and contemporary. She has also choreographed for many
pageants' opening numbers and many pageant talents including a Miss LA talent. Lynda's choreography has won her several awards including Best
Choreography, Most Entertaining Choreography, and many other special awards. Two special awards that are dear to Ms. Lynda are highest point in the
entire competition with "Bring on the Men" a senior small group in 2018 and "Big Time" a tap solo performed by Halle that won 2nd alternate in talent at
the Cinderella International Pageant. Lynda has also taught dance and twirling camps for high schools around the area and judged many high school
and middle school dance tryouts. She has also added the job of competition judge to her plate.
Lynda also works at First United Methodist Church as the Director of Communications and Development. But what fills her the most outside of the
studio is her foster children.
Joy started gym and tumbling at age 3 and dancing at the age of 4. She started competing at age of 6. She won many overall high point awards at the local and national level. She was co-captain and help choreograph her high school's state winning routine. After high school she was a UDA instructor. She attended LSU were she was a Tiger Girl and competed at UDA Nationals at Disney World where they won 4th overall.
She loves watching her two daughters, Halle and Lila, dance. Joy has been co-choreographer of many award winning tap routines at Dazzle.
