Brandi Guillory Chasteen

Hey ya’ll, I’m Brandi Guillory Chasteen and I have been dancing since the age of 3. My training started at the Gwen Reese School of Dance, then continued with Kim Berry through elementary school, and Sonja Palmer throughout my middle and high school years. In 2005, I started my collegiate training as a NSU Demon Dazzler which lasted for 3 years. While at NSU, I performed with numerous groups including "The Rockettes" in the Annual Christmas Gala, intermission entertainment for the Lady of the Bracelet Pageant where I partnered with Donald Jones, Jr in salsa and tango, and with my fellow Dazzlers, performed alongside the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band in New Orleans at halftime of a Saints game in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. I graduated from NSU in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. I also coached the Natchitoches Central Maroon Line from 2008-2010 and help polish and clean their performance routines whenever I am needed! I have two beautiful daughters, Brylee (8) and Braelyn (6), both of whom I can’t wait to watch grow up dancing just as I did!!

Lynda Hammett

My name is Lynda Hammett and I have been dancing since the age of 3. Most of my training came from Karen Ogden Dance Studio in Sulphur, Louisiana. At Mrs. Karen’s I was on competitive teams and won at the regional and national levels. I continued dancing in college on the Demon Dazzler Danceline at Northwestern State University. This is where I met my colleague, Brandi! As a Dazzler, we attended camp in Louisville, KY and were awarded a bid to Nationals in Disney World. This was the first and only team to have received a national bid! I graduated from undergrad in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from the Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern and from LSUS with a Masters of Science in Nonprofit Administration in 2015.
